Thank you for your commitment to wear blue at the 2018 Rock'n'Roll Seattle Marathon! Together we will honor the service and sacrifice of the American military with each of our steps.
We invite you to join us for our pre-race Shake-Out Run on Saturday, June 9, at 9am at PowderWorks Park located at 1775 Bob's Hollow Lane, DuPont, WA 98327. Runners and walkers of all ages and stages are welcome.
Please note our NEW location for the wear blue Mile which will be located at Mile 5 for both the full and half marathon courses. If you are using a map application to guide you to the wear blue Mile our location is: Lake Union Park, 900 Westlake Avenue N, Seattle, WA 98109
VOLUNTEERS should arrive at 5:15am. After checking in, we encourage volunteers to walk the mile, viewing the faces of our honored fallen service members. We anticipate the last runner/walker through the wear blue Mile at approximately 9:45am.
RUNNERS: An integral part of our mission and the wear blue experience is our race day Circle of Remembrance. Please join us on race morning, at 5:45 am, at the north end of the International fountain at the Seattle Center.
Please be aware of race morning road closures. The Rock'n'Roll Marathon staff suggests using the Waze app as it re-routes drivers accordingly.
We recommend dressing in layers, as weather appropriate, with your wear blue shirt as your top layer. If you do not have our signature tee, a complimentary wear blue shirt will be given race morning.
Your race-day coordinators are:
Volunteers: Rachel 206.484.4636
Runners: Curtis 253.468.0987
As over 25,000 athletes pass through the wear blue Mile, they will have a chance to pause, honor, remember and be inspired.
Because of your commitment, we ensure that each of America’s fallen military is honored and remembered, and that their families, friends and comrades can take meaningful, life affirming steps forward. Thank you for being an active part of the wear blue community.
