Tribute wear blue Mile

wear blue: run to remember was founded in 2010 by a group of military spouses and community members who lost loved ones in combat. At that time, no existing organization addressed an active, community approach to remembrance and healing. A shared space to grieve, remember, and move forward with life-affirming habits was desperately needed, and wear blue was born.

Today, wear blue: run to remember uses its global footprint to help thousands heal from and work through the more challenging aspects of military life: frequent separations, difficult post-deployment reintegration, and, for thousands of family members, the trauma of losing their loved ones. Our community actively invites civilian supporters to participate and provides them the opportunity to express their gratitude for our military members’ service.

Tribute wear blue Mile

At national races across the country, wear blue builds a powerful tribute display of the fallen service members that embody the communities for whom they served and sacrificed. Photos of fallen service members are followed by full-sized American flags held by our wear blue volunteers. A quiet, reflective memorial, followed by a celebration of lives that will not be forgotten.

Tribute wear blue Miles are held at various races throughout the country. To find a race close to you and volunteer at one of our next living memorials, please go here.

You can help create a meaningful reminder of our fallen heroes. Please consider a gift of $75 to help cover the cost of an American Flag, a Memorial Ribbon dedicated to a fallen military member, and a Faces of the Fallen poster. Every little bit helps. Each one of our wear blue Tribute Mile posters and flags is sponsored through the generosity of our community. To support, please visit here.
