wear blue: run to remember volunteers,

Thank you for choosing to serve as a volunteer as a member of the wear blue community in the All American Marathon and Mike to Mike Half-Marathon on SundayMarch 24, 2019.

Race weekend activities are as follows:

  • Stop by the Expo to pick up your latest race day wear blue gear! The expo is located at the Metropolitan, 109 Green Street, Fayettville, NC 28301

    • Expo hours are: Friday, March 22, 4p - 8p and Saturday, March 23, 9a - 6p 

  • Please join our Shake Out RunSaturday, March 23, 8am at Festival Park for light refreshments, community interaction, Circle of Remembrance and a short 2 mile run.

  • Race morning, volunteers should arrive at Bojangles, 914 Berkley Hall Way, Fayettville, 28303 prior to 5:30am

    • When you arrive, please check in with our volunteer table to receive a free wear blue cotton tshirt to be worn as your outer layer. Please be aware of weather conditions race morning.

    • Coffee and biscuits will be provided by Bojangles. Please be sure to thank them! 

    • Prior to heading down to the freeway, wear blue staff members will disperse flags.

    • We expect the morning to end around 11am.

    • All ribbons must be returned prior to returning to Bojangles. Staff members will be on hand to collect ribbons as we use these at other races. 

The wear blue Mile is located near mile eight, on the All American Freeway. wear blue volunteers will serve as a living memorial to our fallen service members by lining this location with American flags, bearing the names of these brave men and women. Faces of the Fallen tribute posters will be placed in chronological order on the wear blue Mile, on the right hand side of the course. Race day will be a chance for the All American Marathon and Mike to Mike Half-Marathon runners to pause, honor, remember, and be inspired.

Because of your commitment to country, we ensure that each of America’s fallen military is honored and remembered, and the families, friends, and fellow military of these men and women can take meaningful, life affirming steps forward.  Thank you for being an active part of the wear blue community.
