wear blue: run to remember volunteers,

Thank you for choosing to volunteer on the wear blue Mile at the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon and Half Marathon Sunday, June 2, 2019. wear blue: run to remember builds running communities across the country that honor the service and sacrifice of the American military. We create a healthy and active place for families of the fallen to connect with active duty military, with the support of our civilian communities. wear blue is led by a staff comprising of Gold Star family members, active duty military, military dependents, and supportive civilians. We motivate and empower individuals to healthier, more inspired living.

Please join us on Saturday, June 1, 9am in Balboa Park at the intersection of Balboa and Juniper Roads for a short Shake Out Run and to introduce our five For the Fighting participants.

Volunteers should arrive before 5:15am at the intersection of Hawley and Mountainview on Sunday, June 2. Parking is available in the Normal Heights neighborhood on Hawley Boulevard between N. Mountainview Drive and Copley Avenue, utilizing cross streets as necessary. We anticipate volunteers serving until approximately 9:30am. Please wear your wear blue shirt as your outer layer. If you do not have a shirt, a complimentary wear blue shirt will be available race morning. Light refreshments will be provided (coffee, water, snacks)

Thank you for giving your time to serve as a living memorial. Together we will ensure each of America’s fallen military heroes is honored and remembered, and that their families, friends, and fellow military can take meaningful, life affirming steps forward.
