Thank you for volunteering on the wear blue Mile at the Rock’n’Roll Seattle Marathon and Half on Sunday, June 9th.

Below, please find important wear blue race week information:

We invite you to join us for our pre-race Shake Out Run on Saturday, June 8, at 9am at PowderWorks Park located at 1775 Bob's Hollow Lane, DuPont, WA 98327. Runners and walkers of all ages and stages are welcome!

  • Please note our NEW location for the wear blue Mile which will be located at Mile 6.5 for both the full and half marathon courses. If you are using a map application to guide you to the wear blue Mile our location is:  Gasworks Park: 2101 N Northlake Way, Seattle, WA 98103

  • Volunteers should arrive at 5:45am. After checking in, we encourage volunteers to walk the mile, viewing the faces of our honored fallen service members. We anticipate the last runner/walker through the Mile at approximately 9:45am.

  • wear blue will provide a shuttle bus that will leave at 4:30am from the Dupont Park-and-Ride, 1375 Wilmington Dr, across from the Best Western Liberty Inn.  Please sign up ahead of time for this opportunity. Space fills up. Please register here:

  • Please be aware of race morning road closures. The Rock'n'Roll Marathon staff suggests using the Waze app as it re-routes drivers accordingly.

  • We recommend dressing in layers, as weather appropriate, with your wear blue shirt as your top layer. If you do not have our signature tee, a complimentary wear blue shirt will be given race morning.

  • Light refreshments will be provided. Coffee will be hot and ready to go!
