SATX Marathon Training with Purposeful Steps

As Americans across the country honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation, wear blue: run to remember invites you to take purposeful steps — not just to remember the fallen, but to live their legacy. And today, we’re proud to announce a new way to move with meaning: wear blue: run to remember is now an official training partner of the inaugural San Antonio Marathon, taking place December 7, 2025.

In a city known as Military City, USA, this partnership is more than a collaboration — it’s a living tribute to those who have served, sacrificed, and left lasting legacies. Together with San Antonio Sports, wear blue: run to remember will honor the fallen during the marathon through its powerful signature event, the wear blue Mile. Along a poignant stretch of the course, American flags and Faces of the Fallen posters will transform the route into a space of remembrance and reflection, where runners, volunteers, and spectators can honor lives lived in service.

“As Military City, USA, we are proud to create a race experience that not only celebrates athletic achievement but also pays tribute to the brave men and women who serve our country,” said Jenny Carnes, president and CEO of San Antonio Sports.

In addition to this meaningful tribute on race day, wear blue: run to remember will provide official training plans for all distances — 5K, half marathon, and full marathon — designed to meet the needs of both new and experienced runners. These plans will integrate with San Antonio’s wear blue Community Runs, held on Saturdays, creating a supportive, mission-driven training environment leading up to race day.

“Our San Antonio wear blue community is a vibrant, dedicated group honoring and supporting our military, veterans, and their families,” shared Lisa Hallett, CEO & Co-Founder of wear blue: run to remember. “This partnership with the San Antonio Marathon is a powerful opportunity to further our mission of purposeful remembrance while strengthening our presence in a city rich in military heritage.”

We invite you to lace up your shoes, move with meaning, and join us in honoring the lives, service, and legacies of our nation’s fallen heroes. Whether you run a mile or a marathon, every step is a promise to remember.
